Arguably the greatest anime studio out there, Studio Bones have brought many great series to screens. Founded in 1998 by Masahiko Minami, Hiroshi Osaka and Toshihiro Kawamoto, Studio Bones is known for having some of the best received anime series out there.

10 Cowboy Bebop: Tengoku no Tobira – 7.9/10
Cowboy Bebop was done by studio Sunrise, a studio the founders of Bones were apart of. However, Cowboy Bebop’s movie is what made the list. Released in 2001, Cowboy Bebop: Tengoku no Tobira is an action-space anime that follows Spike Spiegel and the crew. After an oil tanker explodes, a bounty is placed on the suspect. The crew set out to make some quick money but are in for a wild surprise.
9 Wolf’s Rain – 8.0/10
Released during the winter 2003 season, Wolf’s Rain is an adventure-drama anime. The show takes place at a time where the world is coming to an end. Once this world has come to an end, a gate to paradise will open creating a utopia.
It’s believed that only wolves will be able to pass through the gate. The story follows Kiba, a wolf that is hiding among the humans. He meets other wolves where they all journey together to reach paradise. Concealed as humans in society there are other wolves with the same goal. Wolf’s Rain is one season and ran for 26 episodes.
8 Noragami – 8.0/10
Released during the winter 2014 season, Noragami is a supernatural-shounen anime. The god known as Yato isn’t as appreciated as he wants to be. Not having a single shrine for worship, he works for his pay. His partner Yukine is a spirit that can turn into a katana when referred to as Sekki. Fed up with working she leaves Yato. When Yato is almost hit by a car, a chance encounter changes his life, resulting in him meeting Hiyori Iki. Hiyori agrees to be Yato’s new partner. Noragami is two seasons and ran for 12 episodes.
7 Carole and Tuesday – 8.1/10
Released during the spring 2019 season, Carole and Tuesday is an original music-drama anime. The story takes place on Mars where humanity have migrated from Earth. Meeting by what feels like fate, Carole and Tuesday are two headstrong girls that are both musicians. Trying their luck in the music industry the two are on a quest to the top under the group name Carole and Tuesday. The road to stardom is much harder than they think. Carole and Tuesday is one season and is concluding at the end of this summer 2019 season.
6 Space Dandy – 8.1/10
Released during the winter 2014 season, Space Dandy is a space-comedy anime. The story follows Dandy a space bounty hunter searching for aliens. Not on the job requirements Dandy also has run-ins with zombies and other supernatural beings. Dandy’s sidekick is the robot cat QT. With every episode being a new trip, Dandy will have to work hard to earn his pay. Space Dandy is two seasons and ran for 13 episodes.
5 Ouran High School Host Club – 8.2/10
Released during the spring 2006 season, Ouran High School Host Club is a comedy-school anime. The story follows Haruhi Fujioka, a girl attending Ouran High School. When looking for a quiet room, she stumbles upon the host club room.
While in the room, she breaks an expensive vase and owes a debt to the host club. Not having the funds, she decides to join where she becomes the errand worker. Due to her masculine appearance, she disguises as a boy to work as a host. Ouran High School Host Club is one season and ran for 26 episodes.
4 Mob Psycho 100 – 8.5/10
Released during the winter 2019 season, Mob Psycho 100 is an action-supernatural series. The story follows Shigeo Kageyama also known as Mob. Having psychic powers is a great way for Mob to impress Tsubomi Takane, his crush. Mob wants to learn to control his psychic powers but falls into the trap of a con artist. Unknown of his true potential, Mob is reaching closer and closer to his limit. Mob Psycho 100 is two seasons and ran for 12 episodes.
3 My Hero Academia – 8.5/10
Widely regarded as the best currently airing anime and a modern-day classic, My Hero Academia was released during the spring 2016 season. The shounen-super hero anime follows Izuku Midoriya known as Deku, a boy born quirkless. Quirks are the superpower like traits people are born with. Deku has dreams to follow his hero All Might and become the number one hero. Deku has the heart, but without a quirk its unlikely his dreams will come true until he has an encounter with All Might. Realising Deku’s potential All Might passes down his quirk One for All to Deku.
My Hero Academia has three seasons and is confirmed for an upcoming fourth season in the fall 2019 season. The first season ran for 13 episodes.
2 Full Metal Alchemist – 8.6/10
The original Full Metal Alchemist adaptation was released during the fall 2003 season. The anime follows Edward Elric and his brother Alphonse. At an attempt to revive their dead mother using forbidden alchemy, the transfusion goes south. Edward loses two of his limbs and Alphonse is bound to a suit of armor. Edward possesses supreme alchemy skills and wants to use the military to help bring Alphonse back through a fabled stone. However, Edward and Alphonse aren’t the only one who wants it. Full Metal Alchemist is one season and ran for 51 episodes.
1 Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood – 9.1/10
The best anime from Studio Bones and widely regarded as the best anime of all time, Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood is an alternate version of the previous entry. The story is similar for most of the series but has a different ending. Known for having one of the saddest anime deaths of all time, Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood is an anime classic. The anime is one season and ran for 64 episodes.
