As the premiere of The Walking Dead Season 10 looms closer, AMC has released a new promo for the popular survival horror series' next outing.
Showing the returning cast joining together to prepare for a renewed conflict against the insidious Whisperers, each of the main characters extol the importance of unity and why they continue to fight despite the overwhelming odds.
"We survived but this is about more than survival. We're making the world new again. Together we survive. And together we thrive. Together we silence the whispers," declare the cast at the end of the promo before ominously shushing in unison.
The Whisperers had appeared halfway through the ninth season as a faction of survivors that disguised themselves among the undead by wearing human skin and remaining silent. After several bloody confrontations with the communities of Hilltop and Alexandria, the Whisperers forced the survivors into recognizing strict borders, however, judging by the promo, this fragile peace will not last.
AMC's The Walking Dead stars Norman Reedus, Danai Gurira, Melissa McBride, Josh McDermitt, Christian Serratos, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Nadia Hilker, Dan Fogler, Angel Theory, Lauren Ridloff and Eleanor Matsuura. The series returns for Season 10 on October 6.
