Absolute Carnage has been tearing its way through the Marvel Universe for some weeks now. Carnage is back and presently serving the god of all symbiotes, Knull, who demands the villain use his spiral-clad servants to gather those who have bonded with symbiotes in the past. Then, Carnage consumes the codex hidden within his victim (it’s kept in the spine, of course), all in the service of eventually returning Knull to his former glory.
So, naturally, anyone who has befriended a symbiote in the past is either hiding or running from Carnage… unless they’re serving him. A preview for Absolute Carnage: Scream #2 catches up with one of the villains in league with Carnage, Scream. The miniseries’ debut issue saw Scream resurrected using Donna Diego’s corpse, only for the symbiote to jump ship to former Mania host Patricia Robertson. Further complicating the alien family tree was the introduction of Andi Benton.
Patricia and Andi have a bit of a history. After Patricia was separated from Mania, Andi bonded with the symbiote and used it and her hellish powers to aid Agent Venom. Regardless of whether Patricia feels any enmity towards Andi, the symbiote’s influence and Carnage’s psychic call make it clear she’s about to settle an old score with her Hell-Mark empowered rival.
