At Comic-Con International in San Diego, Valkyrie actor Tessa Thompson teased that in Thor: Love and Thunder, "As new King, she needs to find her new queen, so that'll be her first order of business." However, she may not need to look all that far.

When IGN tweeted an article asking who should be Valkyrie's queen, Lady Sif actor Jaimie Alexander was quick to express her interest.

Alexander played Sif in 2011's Thor and 2013's Thor: The Dark World, as well as brief appearances in Seasons 1 and 2 of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Due to scheduling conflicts, however, she was unable to reprise her role as the Asgardian warrior in 2017's Thor: Ragnarok.

Nevertheless, given the surprise return of Natalie Portman's Jane Foster -- a return that was once unthinkable given Portman's vocal frustration with Marvel Studios -- seeing Sif show up in Love and Thunder as the new queen of Asgard is hardly outside the realm of possibilities.
