This year marks the 25th anniversary of Friends' premiere on NBC, debuting for millions of television viewers the burgeoning friendships and romantic relationships between Rachel, Ross, Monica, Chandler, Phoebe and Joey.
To celebrate the occasion, WarnerMedia is launching a Friends pop-up experience in Manhattan, providing fans with the chance to enter the sitcom's iconic settings and purchase exclusive merchandise. From Sept. 7 through Oct. 6, the Friends Pop-Up Experience will be open in Manhattan at 76 Mercer Street with a retail entrance open at 503 Broadway.
"It’s been nearly 25 years since Friends premiered, but the fascination and universal appeal of the hit TV series lives on with fans of all ages," declared Warner Bros. SVP of Global Themed Entertainment Peter van Roden in a written statement. "As we celebrate the show’s milestone anniversary, we are excited to bring the Friends experience to life for our fans in a way that pays homage to the remarkable cast of characters, iconic sets and instantly quotable moments."
AT&T customers can get complimentary tickets for the opening day of the pop-up through the telecommunications company's customer appreciation program while supplies last. Additional tickets can be reserved for $29.50, giving fans the chance to visit dedicated recreations of the Central Perk coffee shop, the two apartments of the series' protagonists and the fountain from the series' opening title sequence.
The Friends Pop-Up Experience runs from Sept. 7 to Oct. 6 from 10 am to 10 pm seven days a week. Tickets can be purchased at friends25popup.com starting on Aug. 2 at 10 am ET.
