Valiant Entertainment has released a new teaser for what is shaping up to be a relaunch of the publisher's Harbinger title.
The teaser art shows one half of a black symbol with sharp edges, with the light reflecting off of it. The shape of the teaser symbol and the list of high profile titles at Valiant leaves Harbinger as the most likely title to be relaunched. The hashtag #Valiant2020 can be found at the bottom of the image.
Created by Jim Shooter and David Lapham, Harbinger stars Peter Stanchek, a psionic teenager that fights the Harbinger Foundation led by Toyo Harada after they orchestrate the murder of his best friend. Other characters who have played a role in the various series include Faith "Zephyr" Herbert, who can use her telekinetic powers to fly and form a force field around herself and others; John "Torque" Torkelson, a strong man from Georgia; the fire user Charlene "Flamingo" Dupre; and Kris Hathaway, Peter Stanchek's human ally.
Valiant Entertainment is working on a Harbinger live-action movie, with the project recently switching studios from Sony Entertainment to Paramount Pictures last month. Joining filmmaker Justin Tipping in the move to Paramount includes producer Neal Moritz, along with the script by Tipping and Joshua Beirne-Golden. Arrival's Eric Heisserer produced the original draft. Paramount will reportedly run Harbinger through a short development process. Vin Diesel's Bloodshot also released its first trailer earlier this month.
Valiant recently relaunched Bloodshot last month and has also teased a new Ninjak ongoing series for its #Valiant2020 marketing campaign.
