Netflix has released a dark, somber first trailer for Season 2 of its pitch-black comedy series The End of the F***ing World, picking up two years since the events of the Season 1 finale.
Returning protagonist Alyssa is seen attending a particularly dour wedding before escaping into the woods surrounding her small town, still thinking about her lover James, who was brutally gunned down by the police in the Season 1 finale after they believed he kidnapped her.
As Alyssa continues to pick up the pieces of her life since James' death, we're introduced to new character Bonnie -- portrayed by Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker's Naomie Ackie -- a violent outsider with a mysterious connection to Alyssa.
Based on the comic book title by Charles Forsman, The End of the F***ing World is a co-production with the BBC following two young lovers attempting to escape their stifling town, with a surprisingly bloody twist.
Arriving on Netflix Nov. 5, Season 2 of The End of the F***ing World is produced by Clerkenwell Films and Dominic Buchanan Productions, with Murray Ferguson, Ed Macdonald, Andy Baker, Dominic Buchanan and Jonathan Entwistle serving as executive producers.
