Frieza is easily Dragon Ball's most recognized villain. Since his debut in the Namek Saga, Frieza has become a fan favorite character, thanks to his deliciously evil personality. While some villains, like King Piccolo, showing pleasure in hurting others, Frieza is so charismatic in his devilishness. From laughing while he destroys Planet Vegeta, to his preferred method of dragging the deaths of his opponents out, Frieza loves what he does. He's also proven to be an incredible fighter, despite letting his minions do his dirty work for him. So, we decided to take a look at five heroes that the dastardly antagonist of the Dragon Ball series can take on as of the end of Dragon Ball Super, while also seeing five heroes he has no chance of beating.
10 Can Defeat: Any Human
During his first encounter with Goku and the gang, Frieza managed to make quick work of Goku's friend Krillin, twice in a row. First, he impaled Krillin with his horns in his first Transformation, and he later grabbed the little guy and blew him up. Even after coming back to life, Krillin couldn't do much in the way of fighting against the likes of Cell and Buu. If the strongest human can't defeat him, what do people like Tien and Master Roshi have against this tyrant? Humanity is pretty screwed without Goku and Vegeta
9 Can't Defeat: Whis
While he may not look it, Whis is the most powerful being in Goku's universe. The Angel that watches over the 7th Universe spends his time training Goku and Vegeta to harness the divine energy that allows them to become Super Saiyan Gods and beyond. During a quick sparring match against Broly, Whis was quickly able to dodge all of Broly's attacks. If Frieza couldn't damage Broly in one hour, what does he have against Whis?
8 Can Defeat: Piccolo
While he's proven to be the most powerful Namekian Warrior, Piccolo still won't be able to kill Frieza. Not only has the tyrant made waste to him in his second transformation, but Frieza also has the power to turn Golden. While Piccolo may now be able to take Frieza in his final form, Piccolo wouldn't last long when Frieza turns Golden. At best, he'd be in the way of Heroes who could fight against the villainous Frieza.
7 Can't Defeat: Android 17
While Frieza can turn Golden, Android 17 has been doing a lot of training since he was brought back to life. When Goku asked he could join Universe 7's team; the two quickly partook in a sparring match, where 17 was shown to be equal to Goku's Super Saiyan Blue form. Not only that, 17 can never run out of energy, giving him a considerable advantage. Frieza's Golden form is powerful, but it takes a lot of energy out of him. Even with his mental training in Hell, Frieza has shown that he still needs to preserve it.
6 Can Defeat: Android 18
While Android 17 is a powerful android, thanks to his years of training, 18 hasn't been as lucky. After the Cell games, she's mostly put her fighting days behind her. While she still has the enhanced strength from her early days and never runs out of energy, she's mostly stayed on the sideline and raised her daughter, Maron. Like with Piccolo, she might be able to take Frieza if he's in his final form, but 18 wouldn't last that long if against him when he turns Golden.
5 Can't Defeat: Beerus
During his rematch with Goku, Frieza took a quick look at the group that was standing by and observing their battle. The second he saw Beerus the Destroyer, he immediately began trembling in fear. According to the official Volume F Guidebook, Beerus and Frieza fought and the God of Destruction made short work of him. Then, during the events of Battle of Gods, it was learned that Beerus was the one who asked Frieza to destroy Planet Vegeta for him. That's right, the Tyrant who feared the legend of the Super Saiyan was asked by the God of Destruction to exterminate the Saiyan race.
4 Can Defeat: Trunks
Hear us out. Yes, Trunks was able to do quick work of Frieza when he came to Earth in an attempt to kill Goku. However, that was years ago, and both have changed. While Trunks has been able to turn Super Saiyan 2 and Super Saiyan Rage, Trunks was still unable to defeat Zamasu and Goku Black. The Latter had the power to turn Super Saiyan Rose, and the duo quickly defeated both Goku and Vegeta twice in a row. Sure, Goku and Vegeta were able to team up with Trunks and the three finally defeated Zamasu and Goku Black, Trunks wouldn't be able to take on Golden Frieza
3 Can't Defeat: Vegeta
Sure, Vegeta was brutally murdered by Frieza, but you can't keep a good Saiyan down, especially one that was brung back by Shenron. After Frieza was defeated, Vegeta spent his days training to keep up with Goku. Since then, Vegeta was able to take on an exhausted Golden Frieza. Sure, Frieza was out of energy to spare, but the fact that he lost again to Goku speaks for itself. The two Saiyans are near equal in power, and Frieza still isn't strong enough to keep up with Goku. On top of that, Vegeta now has Super Saiyan Blue Evolution under his belt, which will make things even easier for Vegeta.
2 Can Defeat: Gohan
After his fight with Cell, Gohan kept the promise that his father made to his mother and gave up fighting to focus on studying. Since then, Gohan has lost a lot of the strength he had when fighting Cell. Even after Gohan regained his Ultimate form, he was unable to stand that much of chance against Frieza when the two shortly duked it out in the Tournament of Power. So, even when Gohan is on his game, he sadly doesn't have the same amount of power that his father has.
1 Can't Defeat: Goku
Despite all the power Frieza has in his power, he's never been able to defeat Goku in a one-on-one fight. When they first met, Goku was able to transform into a Super Saiyan and defeated Frieza. Then, after Frieza was revived and was able to transform into his Golden form, Goku was able to kill him by turning Super Saiyan Blue. No Matter how much power he's able to muster; Frieza will never be able to defeat his arch-enemy.
