A new Batwoman promo shows Kate Kane recommissioning the Batcave following the disappearance of her cousin Bruce Wayne, aka Batman.
The Caped Crusader's disappearance will play large role in the series, as it will serve as source of the city's division and struggles. "When Batman mysteriously disappeared, it divided the city," Kane narrates at the start of the trailer. "Some see fear; others, hope."
Batwoman will follow the adventures of Kate Kane as she struggles with her own demons, all while becoming a symbol of hope for Gotham City. While the character made her debut in this past year's Arrowverse crossover "Elseworlds," the series will take place prior to those events. However, Batwoman will still be featured in the upcoming Arrowverse crossover "Crisis on Infinite Earths."
Batwoman is part of The CW's Arrowverse, which includes shows like Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow.
Written by Caroline Dries and developed by Bertlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television, Batwoman stars Ruby Rose, Rachel Skarsten, Meagan Tandy, Camrus Johnson, Dougray Scott, Elizabeth Anweis and Nicole Kang. The series will premiere on Sunday, Oct. 6 and air on Sundays at 8 pm ET/PT.
