As principal photography continues of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's next cosmic epic Eternals, a new set photo brings one of the eponymous superheroes down to Earth.
Gemma Chan, who portrays the Eternal Sersi, has been seen on set as filming shifts to downtown London, with leaked set photos appearing online. What exactly brings the immortal, spacefaring hero to the British capital is currently unknown.
Principal photography began this past July, with the production and main cast officially announced at Comic-Con International in San Diego. Chan was announced as joining the film's cast as Sersi last month at D23 Expo despite previously appearing as Minn-Erva in this year's Captain Marvel.
While details on the film are still under wraps, it is expected to introduce the comic book property to the MCU as a race created by the Celestials to protect the Earth from the cosmic Deviants.
Directed by Chloé Zhao with a screenplay by Matthew and Ryan Firpo, Eternals stars Richard Madden as Ikaris, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, Lauren Ridloff as Makkari, Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos, Salma Hayek as Ajak, Lia McHugh as Sprite, Don Lee as Gilgamesh, Angelina Jolie as Thena, Barry Keoghan as Druig, Gemma Chan as Sersi and Kit Harington as Dane Whitman, aka the Black Knight. The film arrives in theaters on Nov 6, 2020.
