Writer Mairghread Scott will team with artists Giuseppe Camuncoli, Cam Smith and Tomeu Morey for "The Riddler in 'Alone'," a story in Batman Secret Files #2 centered around the titular genius. The tale features Edward Nygma recalling his latest attempt to torment Batman through dangerous, and explosive, riddles to an unseen character, who is identified as a doctor of some sort. The final panel of the preview teases Batman might not be the only person the Nygma is attempting to get to with his mind games.

Created by Bill Finger and Dick Sprang, Edward Nygma/Riddler first appeared in 1948's Detective Comics #140. The brilliant villain uses his intellect to test Batman, providing him with difficult to solve riddles in which the stakes are often the lives of innocent people or the profits from a heist.

Lettered by VC's Clayton Cowles, Batman Secret Files #2 hits shelves July 31 from DC Comics.
