If you think you're the world's biggest Avengers fan, you might need to think again as one Marvel superfan has seen Avengers: Endgame over 200 times — and he has the ticket stubs to prove it.
Agustin Alanis spent approximately $2,000 watching the movie at his local theater, and his friends and family even gathered to help him celebrate his 200th viewing of the blockbuster, with local news reporting on the occasion as he attempted to set a record. Alanis achieved this while working a full-time job and the initial belief amongst his family that he was "crazy."
It's worth noting that Alanis' record has yet to become official; for his viewings to be recognized, he still needs to send in evidence to Guinness World Records, though his collection of ticket stubs should suffice.
The directors of Endgame, Joe and Anthony Russo, have previously expressed their gratitude towards fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and when the film successfully out-grossed Avatar, the brothers thanked those that helped make it happen.
Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers: Endgame stars Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Brie Larson as Captain Marvel, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Don Cheadle as War Machine, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Danai Gurira as Okoye and Bradley Cooper as Rocket, with Gwyneth Paltrow Pepper Potts, Jon Favreau as Happy Hogan, Benedict Wong as Wong, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie and Josh Brolin as Thanos.
