- Back Street Girls: Gokudolls came and went without much fanfare during the Summer 2018 airing block. Then, it was released on Netflix a few months later, picking up traction. A live action movie slated for February 8, 2019 was announced quickly, and now today, a TV Dorama adaptation has been revealed.
- Going by the same name as the anime, "Back Street Girls -Gokudolls-" will officially debut on February 18th on MBS before being released on TBS two days later, on the 20th. The series will have six episodes in full.
- According to the announcement, the dorama will stick closer to the source material than the live action movie. The drama will also introduce a new character played by Arisa Komiya. The actresses to play the gokudolls themselves will release a full ablum titled IDOL Kills that will go on sale February 13th.
